Cultural Directory Is Way to Get Club Known
With the pounds about to pile on after the Easter Eggs have been eaten, and people are looking for ways to shed the extra weight - it could be just the time to ensure your sports club is in the Great Yarmouth Cultural Directory 2007/8.
“The directory is the ideal way for local clubs and organisations to attract more members and encourage better levels fitness,” said Marie Hartley, Culture, Sport and Leisure Manager.
“It gives a comprehensive view of all the sport and leisure activities as well as heritage, tourism and art opportunities available in the Borough.
“The directory contains a list of local clubs and organisations - together with a contact name and a telephone number. It provides a helpful source for those interested in participating in activities for the first time.”
Clubs taking up the offer last year included music groups, the photographic society, art clubs, aerobics and dance groups, yoga, martial arts and many more.
“We distribute 10,000 copies to local libraries, CLIP offices, public buildings, leisure facilities, schools and colleges,” added Marie.
“John Pamplin is the man to contact for sports clubs and Bridget Heriz for the arts. We just need simple information such as the club’s name, telephone number, website and contact details.
