Ride the Bomber at the Easter Fair

When the Easter Fair arrives in Great Yarmouth on Thursday April 12 it will have a new attraction - the Bomber a 90-foot ride which is making its first appearance in this country.

The ‘not for the faint-hearted’ ride is one of 100 attractions which will take over the Market Place, Market Square, Fullers Hill and Brewery Plain.

All the fun of the fair will include traditional rides such as the gallopers, dodgems, cake walk, helter-skelter and the ghost train. And what fair would be complete without fair rock, candy floss and toffee pples - or the chance to pit your skills at a side show to win a prize?

The bomber which has two bomber fuselage-type cases at each end of an arm that swivels as it goes around - is to be sited on the old Tesco car park.

The fair will be opened at 5.30pm on Thursday by the Mayor Sue Robinson after the traditional civic parade from the Town Hall.

The rest of the evening will feature the ever popular reduced priced rides - from 6pm juvenile rides will pay a maximum of 60p with adults at £1.

The rides open at 10am on Friday and Saturday.
