New Touch Screen for Greater Yarmouth Tourism

Greater Yarmouth Tourism re-launched its brand new state of the art 24 hour touch screen information kiosk today (7 August), featuring the resort’s new brand identity and up-to-the-minute information for visitors.

The touch screen has been designed as part of Great Yarmouth’s new and extensive marketing and branding campaign, which is already seeing increased visitor interest and bookings.

With easy access to visitor information, the touch screen provides up an overview of the resort’s offerings, as well as straightforward and easy navigation.

There is now also a quick search of What’s On in the Borough, with an option for this week, this month and next month – ideal for helping visitors decide on entertainment whether it is last minute or during their stay.

The touch screen also provides listings of accommodation in Greater Yarmouth and a detailed A-Z of listings for things to see and do, eating out and drinking.

The touch screen is located outside the Tourist Information Centre, on Marine Parade and strengthens the service already provided by the dedicated Tourist Information Centre team; with 24 hour up-to-the-minute information for visitors.

With greater visibility and marketing, as well as an extensive £20million regeneration project, Great Yarmouth has predicted a bumper year for tourism in 2007 and expects visitor numbers to rise steadily from the current 1.33 million staying visitors and 3.7 million day visitors.

Nicola Gibson, Marketing and Promotions Manager for Greater Yarmouth Tourism, said: “The Information Touch Screen kiosk has been re-designed and re-launched inline with our brand new ‘Official Greater Yarmouth Tourism Website’ (launched 2 July 2007), it is part of the wider re-branding and extensive marketing strategies to produce a cohesive and recognisable Greater Yarmouth brand throughout the UK.  The information kiosk is a fantastic facility and the new design and layout will be wildly used by visitors and is integral to the successful and valuable information service that we provide to our visitors.”
