Power Kite Instructors Being Recruited
Great Yarmouth’s kite sports activities are so popular project leader Marten Payne is recruiting potential instructors at a special event at the Marina Centre on February 18.
Active-X the recently formed group which runs the borough’s power kite, kite surfing, buggy and board courses and events is holding a taster session from 11am to 1pm, costing £5, to find enthusiastic instructors.
“Kiting is very popular in Great Yarmouth and now we are offering tuition in Norwich and Lowestoft,” said Marten. “So we need instructors for our expanding schools programme.
“On the 18th anyone who comes along will be given instruction on power kiting and safety. We will then be selecting people we feel will make good instructors.
“Successful candidates will undertake a new level 1 power kite course to gain an internationally recognised qualification.
“This is an open invitation to kiters of all levels, from experts to beginners. Anyone who wants more information or to book a place can contact me on 07766 205746.”
