Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s Cultural directory for 2007/8 is hot off the press - so there is no reason to sit there and say you have nothing to do.

The free 52 page directory produced by the cultural partnership representing the local sport, art, tourism and heritage sectors is packed with information on everything from sport for all ages and abilities to art, photography, dance and yoga.

“We are distributing 10,000 copies to the Town Hall, Maltings House, tourist information centre, local libraries, CLIP offices, museums, leisure facilities, and GP surgeries,” said Marie Hartley, Culture, Sport and Leisure Manager.

“As well as explaining the range of options on offer to help people get fit there is also an A to Z of local clubs and organisations offering the opportunity to learn new skills or ways of relaxing.

“The directory has sections on heritage and tourism - there is no excuse for anyone not to pick up a copy and find a new interest, or take-up a pastime again they used to enjoy.”
