On Your Bike and Enjoy the Countryside in Bike Week

Two 'gentle' family rides have been organised by staff at Great Yarmouth Borough Council to entice families out into the countryside in Bike Week.

An 11 mile ride taking in Hobland, Lound and Somerleyton goes from Oriel School, Gorleston at 2pm on June 16, or families might enjoy an eight mile ride from Thrigby Wildlife Park, which takes in the quiet lanes of Stokesby, Runham and Mautby starting at 10am on Sunday 17.

The Bike the Borough rides are free.

Bike Week is annual event which this year will see 1,500 organised rides take place nationally between June 16 and 24.

Although people are welcome to turn-up to either event on the day, it would help John if he had some indication of the number of people taking part through pre-booking.

Entry forms can be obtained from John Pamplin, Sports Development Officer, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Maritime House 25, Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth, or by calling 01493 846446.
