Yarmouth Aquisition Launched at Milan Conference
Seven organisations from Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and the East of England have just returned from a successful trip to Milan. The group included Gardline Lanklema, the most recent addition to the Gardline Marine Sciences Group, taking the opportunity to launch its name and services at the European Wind Energy Conference.
Gardline Geosciences acquired Lankelma Andrews on 1 May. It now trades as Gardline Lankelma.
"The range of expertise and services required for wind farm development mirrors that offered by Gardline to the offshore oil and gas industry generally," said John Wenlock, representing Gardline Lankelma.
"Attendance at events such as EWEC opens up opportunities for us to meet new clients and strengthen relationships with existing and past clients. EWEC provided a particularly valuable platform for this."
Having much experience of wind conferences over the last five years Mr Wenlock judged this "by far the best attended event."”
Gardline Lankelma exhibited alongside Oceanteam 2000 (o2tk), Great Yarmouth Stevedoring, MDF Transport, Great Yarmouth Port Authority, OBC Shipping and Waveney District Council. The contingent was led by the Great Yarmouth Marketing Initiative (GYMI) and Renewables East.
"With 6GW of offshore installed capacity planned for the East of England region over the coming years, this was an excellent opportunity for Great Yarmouth and the region to promote its expertise and capabilities,”" said Stephanie Pimlott co-ordinating the group. "Our stand brought together a mix of businesses and individuals, who were willing to contribute to the development of Great Yarmouth and the East of England, and support each other whilst also focussing on their own particular and specific interests."
Next year's event will be held in Brussels, 31 March – 3 April. If you are interested in participating in this exhibition please contact GYMI Co-ordinator Stephanie Pimlott on 01493 846108, or email: gymi@gymi.co.uk
