The SeaChange Trust would like to invite you to submit artwork for Pictures for the People 2006, the 38th Annual Open Entry Art Exhibition held in Great Yarmouth.

This year Pictures for the People is being made possible through the generous support of Great Yarmouth Port Authority. In announcing their support, Chairman of the Port Authority Stephen Eldred commented “I am absolutely delighted that Great Yarmouth Port Authority is supporting Pictures for the People 2006. This long-established and much loved annual exhibition is unique in the region – providing absolutely everyone the chance to exhibit their creations, view a wonderful range of art work and buy pictures at affordable prices.”

Please telephone 01493 846550 or email mail@seachange-trust.org.uk for entry forms. Bring both completed forms with you on delivery of artwork. The administration charge is £3.00 per picture. Please note that due to slightly reduced wall space and anticipated high numbers of submissions we are encouraging artists to submit a maximum of two art works this year.

We would like to remind all exhibitors that artworks must be either original or, in the case of photographs or prints, a numbered edition from a limited edition series. Please note that all framed works must be mirror-plated and labelled. See the entry form for details and conditions of entry.

If you would like to include a brief paragraph about yourself or your group in the exhibition catalogue, please email a statement labelled “PFTP Statement” to mail@seachange-trust.org.uk. You don’t have to write much, just a few sentences about your organisation or group’s activities, or about yourself and how art is important to you. If you do not have access to email please attach it, with any supporting information, to your completed entry forms.

The key dates for this year’s show are:

• Delivery of artwork: Thursday 16th 10am– 4.45pm, Friday 17th 10am-5.45pm, Saturday 18th November 10am-4.45 pm, 2005

• Private view: Monday 27th November 7.00 – 9.00 pm

• Exhibition dates: 28th November - 16th December 2006 (Mondays to Saturdays 10am-5pm)

• Collection of artwork: Sat 16th 12pm-5pm and Mon 18th 10am-4.45pm December.

This fantastic exhibition would not be possible were it not for volunteer support, and this year we need you more than ever.
