A Multi-Agency ‘street cleaning’ initiative will take place on Thursday 18 October 2007 in Great Yarmouth.  

Concentrating on the areas of Middle Market Road, South Market Road and North Market Road the Council’s Dynamic Environmental Response Team (DERT) squad, operated by GYB Services, will be joined by ‘Car Clear’-the Council and Police joint car clearing team, the Council’s Environmental Rangers and PCSO’s who will be controlling traffic and parking.

The cleaning operation will commence at 8.00am until midday and will see the removal of any abandoned cars, the roads cleaned, gutters cleared, pavements washed, gullies swept and a free ‘bulky’ collection for furniture items and ‘white goods’ fridges etc.

DERT is part-funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.
