Neighbourhood Management Programme Launches new Website
The Comeunity programme has launched a new interactive web-site to inform residents and partners of a range of projects and initiatives developing across south and central Yarmouth. The programme officially launched in June from the Neighbourhood Centre on King Street and has sought to work with a variety of partners on improvements to the quality of life for people living in these neighbourhoods, ranging from a Credit Union to a series of environmental improvements across the neighbourhood. The programme is overseen by a partnership board consisting of eight local residents. Great Yarmouth Borough Council is the accountable body for the funds of £1.6million over 4 years.
The new web-site has been developed by a local volunteer and boasts an interactive forum for local residents and the innovative “YarTube” – a video upload facility to celebrate community projects and local people.
