Civic Service Procession Invitation
Not surprisingly as Great Yarmouth’s Mayor’s theme is community he is asking local groups to take part in this year’s civic service.
“I would like a wide range of organisations to join the procession from the Town Hall to St Nicholas Church,” said Councillor Terry Easter. “Everyone is welcome.
“It would be lovely to see groups representing all ages and interests and as someone who has been associated with sport all my life, I hope that local sport clubs will be there.”
The service will be held at 11am at St Nicholas Church on Sunday July 20.
Members of the public will be very welcome to join the Mayor and Mayoress at the multi-denominational service to celebrate their year in office.
It will be lead by the Mayor’s chaplain Rev Arthur Bowles who is also chaplain to Norwich City Football Club.
Any groups interested in joining the civic procession are asked to contact the Mayor’s Secretary Laura Goodman on 01493 846125 or email lauragoodman@great-yarmouth.gov.uk.
