The Future of Building Control

The Government  via the Communities and Local Government Department are carrying out a consultation on the future of building control until Tuesday 10 June 2008.

If you are a builder, architect or developer it is your chance to have a say and give your views on the proposed changes to the current building control system. The Government feel these changes will improve compliance level, reduce burden and cost to industry and deliver a customer focused service.

To download a copy of the consultation paper and to respond use this link: The Future Of Building Control

or write to:-

The Government also wants your thoughts on a proposal that could improve compliance with building regulations and protect consumers from cowboy builders.

An online survey is available until 10 June 2008 and will only take a few minutes to complete.
