
The Financial Services Division provides financial and accounting information to Members and officers of the Council.
The section is made up of 5 main areas which are as follows:
• Financial Management
• Financial Reporting
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Risk Management
• Internal Audit
The main activities undertaken are;
• Provision of financial advice
• Provision of monthly financial monitoring information to management
• Leading and co-ordination of the revenue and capital budget setting process
• Preparation and maintenance of the Accounts
• Co-ordination of grants administration
• Supporting Service managers to develop, implement and monitor Service Plans
• Provision of financial skills training for non finance managers
• Input to multi-disciplinary teams to improve and develop service initiatives
• Provision of Treasury Management services
• Provision of Internal Audit
• Provision of Creditors function
