The Disability Discrimination Act 2005 requires all public bodies (including Great Yarmouth Borough Council) to have a Disability Equality Scheme in place by 4th December 2006.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has produced its scheme after consultation with local residents and interested groups.  Both the scheme and the Action plan are living documents and will be constantly monitored and changed where necessary to meet the needs of disabled people.
