The aim of the service is to keep the borough’s streets free of litter and rubbish. Not all areas are swept on a routine basis so that services can be targeted towards the areas of highest public use. If there is a problem we need to know so please give us a call.

The Council’s Environmental Rangers, as well as the Street Scene team from GYB Services, carry out frequent visual audits but if things are going wrong we need residents help to get them put right.

If you want details about becoming a litter watcher please call us. Our target is to recruit each any every one of you…94,000 residents…please do not drop litter and provide us with your eyes to identify the problem areas.
