
The Strategic Housing Market Assessment (HMA) for our sub-region was undertaken by Great Yarmouth Borough Council and Waveney District Council working together.
Undertaken over 2006/2007 and responding to government guidance, the Assessment is the result of extensive research, to which a great many organisations and individuals contributed their expertise, for which we are most grateful.

An analysis of the policy context for looking at local housing markets
A detailed overview of the housing situation in the sub-region within the demographic, social and economic context
Profiles of each of the 13 localities
Detailed focus on specific housing issues such as the nature of affordable housing requirements, the housing needs of hostel dwellers, housing options for older people, accommodation needs of minority groups.
A further report - also included on the CD - sets out how the assessment will be monitored and updated.
