Quality Silver Award for the Borough's Britain in Bloom Entry
Great Yarmouth’s entry in this year’s ‘Britain in Bloom’ awards was a great success achieving a ‘Quality Silver’ award. Judges visited Great Yarmouth on the 11th July and Gorleston on the 23 July and were particularly impressed with the wonderful floral displays along the Great Yarmouth seafront.

Shoreline Management Plan Meeting
As part of Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s consideration of the revised Shoreline Management Plan (SMP), a meeting of Ward Councillors, members of the public and interested parties for the Great Yarmouth and Gorleston areas has been arranged for Thursday 4th October at 7 pm in the Town Hall Council Chamber.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council will tomorrow (Tuesday 25 September) add its name to over 200 local authorities nationally that have signed the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change.

The town hall played host to a battle of the ages on September 5th as 6yr old Japanese girl Mima Ito and 81yr old local lady Edna Fletcher fought to win a unique game of table tennis.
