Important Information: BACS Automated Benefits Payments due Monday 28 July 2008

Due to an internal processing error the BACS automated benefit payments that were due to be paid into bank accounts on Monday 28 July 2008, will not now be paid in until Tuesday 29 July 2008.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, please be assured that procedures have now been put in place within the authority to ensure that this error will not reoccur in the future.

We recognise that as a result of this, additional bank charges may be incurred; if this does happen as a direct result of the delayed payment, please write to us at the address below and provide a supporting bank statement :-

Are you entitled to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit?

Are you on a low Income? Do you pay rent or council tax?
If you answer 'yes' to these questions you may be entitled to housing benefit and Council Tax benefit to reduce the amount you pay.

Council Tax discount: Are you entitled to it?
If you are the only adult resident in your home, your Council Tax should be reduced by one quarter. Your bill will confirm if you are receiving a discount.

Are you disabled?
If you are disabled or a disabled person lives with you in your home, you may be entitled to a reduction in your council tax.
