How long it takes to work out your claim depends on:
The Revenue’s Performance Chart shows the current status of work. This will give you an idea of the likely time it will take us to process your benefit claim.

A notification letter will be sent advising you how we have assessed your Council Tax Benefit. Please check the information in this letter very carefully, if there is anything you think is wrong, you must tell us straight away.

Your benefit notification letter advises you if you might be able to get Income Support or Jobseekers Allowance (income based). If this is the case then please apply to the Department for Work and Pensions.
