Fuel Poverty |

It is vital to conserve our natural finite resources. We can all play our part in conserving energy by using our main fuels; gas, oil, coal and electricity more wisely.

It is possible to save money on energy by reducing draughts (windows and doors) and insulating lofts and the fabric of our homes.

For those who can't afford to heat where they live fuel poverty is a real issue. It can result in a vicious circle of deprivation, the consequences of which can seriously affect the quality of life of individuals and families.

The Council's Home Energy & Fuel Poverty Strategy explains what it and its partners are aiming to achieve.
