It is the governments intention to regulate smoking in public places and workplaces.
In an effort to help businesses in Great Yarmouth comply with this new health and safety law effective 1st July 2007. The legislation states ‘all workplaces have to be a smoke free environment’. Environmental Health are now offering a Smoke Free Workplace Advisory Service under the direction and management of Ivan Clark who has recently been appointed to the position of Smoke Free Workplace Coordinator.
Ivan says he is delighted to be working with businesses in Great Yarmouth to help them develop and implement a smoke free working environment. He brings to the post many years experience working in business management and respiratory healthcare and a commitment and enthusiasm for making Great Yarmouth one of the healthiest and happiest places to work in and relax in the country.
