For Immediate Release

Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft will again be showcased as the gas capital of the North Sea to a worldwide audience of more than 30,000 people from over 100 countries next September.

Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and the wider region has been presented at the prestigious Offshore Europe exhibition since 1991 to international audiences of engineers, technical specialists, executives and industry leaders.

Great Yarmouth Marketing Initiative (GYMI), Waveney District Council and the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) – the partnership organising the ‘Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft – East of England’ stand will unveil its detailed design at a launch event which will also give companies the opportunity to contribute ideas and learn about special early-booking discount rates.

Companies interested in exhibiting on the impressive, crowd-drawing 115m2 stand are invited to the Cliff Hotel, Gorleston on 18 January at 4pm.

“Companies face numerous choices when it comes to spending their marketing budgets” said Stephanie Pimlott from GYMI, Project Managing the stand. “I urge any company in the oil and gas industry in the region to get in touch with us or come along to our launch event to see how we can provide them with excellent value for money exhibition options with lots of added extras.”

This is the largest oil and gas exhibition outside North America and companies have found exhibiting on the regional stand easy, cost effective and enjoyable, providing a far more professional presence than they could have done independently.

Camcon Technology, based in Cambridge, first debuted in the oil and gas industry in September 2003 at Offshore Europe in Aberdeen. “We were only able to participate in this event by making full use of the exhibition services and business support available from EEEGR and GMYI,” explained Ian Anderson, Chief Operating Officer. “The services offered to small, local and East of England businesses on such a stand make it possible to exhibit early in a business development programme, in a prime location at show and without incurring prohibitive costsindoing so.

“Camcon also exhibited on the regional stand in 2005 and looks forward further participation on the ‘Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft – East of England Stand as it continues to build its presence in the oil and gas industry.”
