2pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Alzheimers Society Open Meeting at the Kings Centre.

Tuesday 28 October 2008

11.00 - Mayor and Mayoress to attend a Cheque Presentation by Coastal Marine to Newtown Youth Centre in the Mayors Parlour.  Also attending Karl Harding and Members of the Youth Centre, Richard Packham and Carrie from Coastal Marine.  Coastal Marine are donating £5,000.00 to the youth centre.

12.00pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Creative Celebration Lunch at the Priory Centre for the Out There Festival.
7.00pm - Mayor and Mayoress Civic Halloween Night at the Grosvenor Casino Marine Parade, Great Yarmouth.  Mayor to welcome all guests.  All proceeds in aid of the Mayor’s Charities.

12.00pm - 2.00pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the 'Out There' Festival in Great Yarmouth Market Place.
7.00pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Haven Rotary Club Musical Extravaganza at the Ocean Rooms. Proceeds for the evening go towards the Palliative Care East appeal.

10.00am - REMEMBRANCE DAY - Mayor, Mayoress, Deputy Mayor, Leader, MD, Cllr Watts to welcome civic guests in Supper Room for reception prior to taxis leaving for the service in St Georges Park at 10.50am.  Mayor to lay a wreath carried by MD.  Deputy Mayor to lay a wreath on WWII Memorial.  Following Service the Mayor will take the salute in the Market Place opposite Woolworths then back to the Town Hall for refreshments  Wear Robes
12.30pm - Civic Dignitaries to attend the Far East Prisoner of War Service at the Jetty Marine Parade,

10.45am - Mayor and Mayoress to attend a Service at the War Memorial at the Old Cemetery Gorleston Opposite the Magdalen Arms. Mayor to lay poppy wreath on behalf of the Borough. This service is being held to mark the 90th anniversary of end of the WWII.
11.00am - Town Hall - Rev’d Peter Paine - Town Hall Chaplain will be leading a 2 minute silence in the Foyer for Public and Staff.

10.00am - Meet at Town Hall prior to travelling on Train to Open the 10th Annual Christmas Fayre at St Nicholas Church.  Official Opening to take place at 10.30am.  Following opening Mayor to walk round stalls and visit the cooking demonstration by Angela Hartnell from Anna Sewlles Restaurant in the Priory Centre. Liza Goddard will also be attending the opening ceremony.
2.30pm - Mayor and Mayoress to visit Age Concern at Seafcroft Hemsby for Bingo as part of the Turkey and Tinsel celebrations.
7.30pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Annual Great Yarmouth Swimming Club Dinner and Presentation evening at the Cliff Hotel.

Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Christmas Fayre
7.15pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Norwegian Choir Concert at St Nicholas Parish Church. Mayor to say a few words at end of Concert and invite guests to partake in the buffet.  Mayor to especially welcome the Mayor of Lardell to Great Yarmouth.

2.45pm - Closing Ceremony of Christmas Fayre. Procession to leave Town Hall at 3.15pm to St Nicholas Parish Church.  T S Fearless Winterton Marine Cadets will be leading the procession. In the procession will be members of the Norwegian Choir, Members of the Gorleston Pavilion Pantomime and the Lions Club Father Christmas. Mayor to say a few words during the ceremony which Canon Woods will lead for the last time.
6.00pm - Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Greek dinner at the Ocean Rooms.
