Playing pitch and outdoor sports strategy

Summary

This strategy is comprised of two documents:

• the playing pitch assessment report
• the playing pitch strategy and action plan

The assessment report assesses the existing provision of sports facilities, and identifies the key issues that need to be addressed with regard to the following facilities: 

• football pitches (grass and third generation turf (3G)) 
• cricket pitches 
• rugby union pitches 
• hockey pitches (artificial grass pitches (AGPs)) 
• tennis courts 
• bowling greens 
• athletics tracks
• golf courses 

The strategy and action plan sets out a strategic framework to address the issues identified relating to playing pitch provision across Great Yarmouth. Recommendations and priorities will be developed following extensive scenario testing and in conjunction with key stakeholders.
