Great Yarmouth Borough Council is already starting to plan the Wheels Festival for 2021 after this year's event was unavoidably cancelled due to coronavirus and strict social distancing measures.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council is inviting applications for grants from small businesses impacted by Covid-19, which were not eligible for the Government's previous grants scheme or other support.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council is today (Friday, June 5) submitting to Government a bid for £19.9m to help transform and revive Great Yarmouth town centre as a vibrant economic, cultural and community hub.

Temporary measures helping pedestrians to maintain safe social distancing are being introduced in Great Yarmouth town centre, Gorleston High Street and the borough's busiest tourism hotspots.

Non-essential shops in Great Yarmouth Town Centre and at Gorleston High Street reopened on Monday, after being closed for almost three months, following the Governments most recent guidance.

As further shops are set to reopen on Monday (June 15), Great Yarmouth's council and business leaders are working together to help ensure everyone visiting the borough's busiest shopping and tourism hotspots has a safe and enjoyable experience.
