North Quay Supplementary Planning Document (July 2020)

Summary

This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) from July 2020 sets out the vision, objectives and planning considerations for the future development of the North Quay area of Great Yarmouth.

The role of the SPD is to provide planning guidance to landowners, investors and prospective developers as well as to Great Yarmouth Borough Council (the Council) for the rejuvenation and regeneration of this area of the town within the wider Waterfront Regeneration Area.

Indeed, it is recognised that the SPD proposals for the North Quay area have a direct inter-relationship with the wider Waterfront Regeneration Area (that includes the railway station, The Conge and Hall Quay, amongst other areas) and with the town centre.

This SPD has been informed by an extensive process of site surveys and investigations and by capacity, constraints and design concept work and community and stakeholder engagement.
