Right to buy policy

Summary

Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) has been delivering the Right to Buy (RTB) scheme since its introduction in 1980. It enables the Council's secure tenants who are eligible for the scheme to purchase their homes at discounted rates.

Whilst the RTB policy is governed by national legislation there is some limited discretion as to how it is implemented at local level.
