Warning marker policy

Summary

This document sets out the corporate policy with respect to the use of markers on service user's records and the corporate warning marker system.

The aim of the warning marker system is to:

  • provide an early warning to staff of an individual or situation that represents a risk to them, their colleagues, contractors, or the public
  • reduce the number of violent, aggressive or anti-social acts against staff
  • assist in creating a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors
