Introduction

The Communications Team issues media releases and statements and responds to enquiries from media representatives, such as journalists, producers, researchers and photographers.

Please note we are unable to deal with general enquiries from the public. Instead, please see our Contact us page for how to contact a specific department or ask a general question.

I am a media representative with a media enquiry - how do I contact the Communications Team?

For media enquiries about the council, including interview requests for councillors or officers, please contact the Communications Team using the details below:

To help us respond, please provide as much detail as possible and remember to include details of your target publication or programme and any deadlines you may be working to.

Our core hours working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. For out-of-hours media enquiries, please email us with your enquiry and we will respond as soon as possible.

I would like to request to film on land I believe is owned or controlled by Great Yarmouth Borough Council

Unfortunately the Communications Team only deals with media enquiries. Members of the public should see our Contact us page to find out how to contact the Borough Council.

What is the council's overarching approach to effective communications?

The Corporate communications strategy sets out the Council's overarching approach to effective communications across the authority. 

The Strategy represents a co-ordinated and targeted overall approach to the Council's internal and external communications, supporting the delivery of the public and corporate priorities.

The vision statement for the strategy is: "To boost confidence in the Borough and the Council, in order to influence in a positive way the thoughts and actions of identified stakeholders who are based locally, nationally and further afield."
