Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls


The Visit Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls returns to Great Yarmouth seafront from Sunday 30 August to Saturday 26 September 2026.
Believed to be the biggest outdoor open bowling event in the country, with more than 800 participants competing in men's, ladies and mixed teams for singles, pairs, triples and fours titles. Bowling takes place over four weeks at the Britannia Bowling Greens on Great Yarmouth seafront.
Tournaments are open to all abilities to enter, £7.40 per person per tournament (£5.40 per person for Under 21s Open Singles).
Spectators are welcome to watch (for free) throughout the festival as there is plenty of seating available around the greens.
The following tournaments will be taking place:
- Ladies Singles from Sunday 30 August - Tuesday 1 September
- Men's Fours from Sunday 30 August- Tuesday 1 September
- Men's Pairs from Wednesday 2 - Friday 4 September
- Men's Triples from Sunday 6 - Tuesday 8 September
- Ladies Pairs from Sunday 6 - Tuesday 8 September
- Men's Singles from Wednesday 9 - Friday 11 September
- Ladies Triples from Thursday 10 - Friday 11 September
- Under 21's Open Singles on Saturday 12 September
- Mixed Pairs from Sunday 13 - Tuesday 15 September
- Mixed Triples on Wednesday 16 and Friday 18 September
- Over 60's Open Singles from Saturday 19 - Tuesday 22 September
- Over 60's Open Pairs from Wednesday 23 - Saturday 26 September
Entries close 15 June. Draws are published in the Festival Programme.
