Couples looking to say  "I do" are invited to a special Wedding Open Day at Great Yarmouth's historic Town Hall on Sunday, October 15, from 10.30 am to 2pm. The event is free to attend and there is also free car parking available at Greyfriars car park.

Not only will couples have the chance to see the stunning Grade II listed building dressed and styled for a wedding, but there will also be the perfect opportunity to chat through wedding ideas with the venue's experienced wedding co-ordinator.

The prestigious building is also available for baby-naming ceremonies, marriage celebrations, commitment ceremonies and renewals of vows, which the team from Celebrate in Norfolk are happy to conduct.

Although the event is all about showcasing the venue, there will also be a handful of local suppliers on hand to offer advice and inspiration to couples.

Wendy Takman, wedding and events co-ordinator at Great Yarmouth Town Hall, said: "The Town Hall is an accessible, affordable venue which caters for all sizes of weddings and ceremonies.

"Whether you're throwing a lavish affair with a 100-plus guests or a more intimate ceremony with just immediate family, all of our stunning rooms offer the perfect backdrop for your special day."

Couples who are unable to attend on October 15 are invited to arrange a viewing of the venue by calling Wendy Takman on 01493 846154 or via email at wendy.takman@great-yarmouth.gov.uk
