Grants of up to £50,000 available for rural companies and organisations in Great Yarmouth area
Rural businesses and community organisations are being urged to apply for grants to help them invest and encourage growth.

Funding of up to £50,000 is available via the Great Yarmouth Rural Business and Communities Grant Scheme and is designed to support new and existing businesses to develop new products and facilities that benefit the local economy.
Companies and organisations - which can include farm businesses looking to diversify - can also use the grants to support new and improved infrastructure that provides community services.
Councillor Daniel Candon, Great Yarmouth Borough Council's portfolio holder for Economic Development and Growth, said: ''The grants are being made available via the latest round of capital funding from the Government's Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF) and offer an excellent opportunity in the borough.
''We are focused on doing all we can to support the local economy and drive growth. We would urge anyone who thinks they might benefit to check the criteria and contact us as soon as possible so we can offer support in making an application.''
The grants for this year follow a similar successful scheme last year and funding can cover premises, equipment, visitor attractions, green spaces or culture and heritage projects.
Funding of between £5,000 and £50,000 is available and the grant can help pay for projects up to a maximum of 50 per cent for businesses and up to 75 per cent for not-for-profit organisations and community groups that meet the criteria.
Among those awarded grants last year from the first round of funding was East Norfolk Cider, based in Scratby, which was handed £64,000 to help it increase production and efficiency with the installation of new equipment.
The company said the finance would enable it to take the next step in production and allow it to stock a variety of pubs, shops and festivals.
The new scheme is being delivered by the New Anglia Growth Hub on behalf of Great Yarmouth Borough Council and is funded by the Government.
To apply, please contact the New Anglia Growth Hub at www.newangliagrowthhub.co.uk/contact-us/ or call 0300 333 6536 to discuss projects with an adviser who will also be able to support people with the application process.
Applications close on Friday, August 29, 2025, and projects must be fully completed by the end of March 2026.
