Article 4 directions

Article 4 direction: The Gap, Hemsby

The direction came into force on 6 March 1970 and applies to the area known as 'The Gap, Hemsby'.

The direction states that planning permission granted by Article 3 of the Town and Country Planning General Development Order (1963) shall not apply to the use of the said land of the descriptions set out below:

  1. The use of land on not more than 28 days in total in any calendar year for the purposes of public amusement or entertainment or for camping or other holiday accommodation or the sale of goods, including beach requisites, food stuffs and refreshments; and the erection or placing of movable structures on the land for the purposes of that use. Being development comprised within paragraph 2 of Class IV of Part 1 referred to in the First Schedule to the said Order and not being development comprised within any other class.
