Following a count at Great Yarmouth Town Hall on Friday, May 8, the results were as follows:
For the Breydon division. Eligible electorate 8,009. Total votes cast 3,966. Turnout 49.52 per cent. (Elected in bold)

There was also a by-election held for the Caister South ward of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, where there were 3,607 eligible voters. Total number of votes cast 1,787. Turnout 49.54 per cent (elected in bold)
