Housing Payment

If you are on Housing Benefit or Universal Credit with a Housing Costs element included, but you are still having trouble paying your rent, you can apply for a Housing Payment. Please note this was formerly known as a Discretionary Housing Payment.

Housing Benefit

Universal Credit

Universal Credit is part of the Government's wider welfare reform plans and replaces six working age benefits for Jobseeker's Allowance, Housing Benefit, Working Tax Credit, Income Support, Child Tax Credit and Employment and Support Allowance.
