Direct debits
OPENPortal also enables you to sign up to pay the following by direct debit:
- Council Tax
- business rates
If you already pay by direct debit, signing up for this online service enables you to update your bank details or change your payment dates. You can also choose to receive your bills by email.
Please note: we will review your request and, if it is accepted, we will send you a revised bill. This will normally be sent the next working day. You must continue to pay your Council Tax or business rates as normal until you hear from us.

How to register for OPENPortal
On the OPENPortal (opens new window) login page:
- Select the 'Register for an account' button.
- Complete our 'Online signup for OPENPortal' form.
Registration for non-residents
Non-residents (or customers that only have a Sundry Debt account with the Council) should sign up to view their Sundry Debt account via My Account instead.
After successful registration, you will be sent a user ID and password via email. This will enable you to log in to OPENPortal (opens new window) to view your account.
