Apply for an immigration inspection

How do I arrange an inspection?

Before any inspection is carried out, you must complete the Application for an Immigration Inspection for Entry Clearance into the UK

Please note the application form must be completed by the person who owns the property where the person seeking entry will be staying (the Sponsor)

Once the application has been checked and confirmed as containing all relevant information, a visit to the proposed residence during working hours will be arranged. In support of your application for UK entry clearance, it is necessary for Great Yarmouth Borough Council to have proof of ownership of the property.

If the property is occupied by the owner, at the time of inspection the following will need to be produced:

  • A copy of the deeds of the property
  • A copy of the owner's passport or driving licence
  • Current safety certificates for the gas installation and appliances

If the property is rented, at the time of inspection the following will need to be produced:

  • A copy of the tenancy agreement
  • Written permission from the landlord confirming that they are happy for additional persons to be housed there.
  • Current safety certificates for the gas installation and appliances

Please note that if you cannot complete the application form or provide the supporting documentation we cannot continue with the inspection or provide a refund.
