Council Tax: empty homes review

Great Yarmouth Borough Council is currently embarking upon a review of properties that have been declared as empty. This is to ensure that the correct amount of Council Tax is charged.

As part of this review, we are sending letters to owners of properties that we have recorded as empty.  The letter will include a form asking for confirmation that the property is still empty or details of any change of circumstances. Completed forms should be returned to a centrally-based local government scanning facility based in Nottingham: they process documents on behalf of many local authorities across the United Kingdom.

We would like to thank the owners of properties, that have been selected as part of this exercise, for their co-operation.

Please note that if you do not respond to our letter then further enquiries will be made which could result in the Council Tax liability on the property being increased.

How do I complete the Empty Homes Review online?

Please confirm the position on the property by completing the:

To access your form you will need to enter you unique PIN number provided on the letter we have sent you.
