Enterprise Hub launches to support Great Yarmouth businesses

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has teamed up with the Town Centre Partnership to launch the service in Market Gates Shopping Centre.

The Hub is a new one stop shop for start-up, new and more established businesses and offers business advice, support, and training. Businesses can also book the space for their own business events. The opening times are 10am - 4pm on, Monday to Friday.

His Worship the Mayor, Cllr Graham Plant, officially opened the Enterprise Hub with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday 10, August at 11am, which was followed by refreshments and networking.

Cllr Daniel Candon, chairman of the Economic Development committee, said, "The Hub is there for residents and local entrepreneurs who either want to or are thinking about starting their own business, or wish to grow an existing enterprise, with access to free, confidential and impartial advice and support."

Great Yarmouth town centre manager Jonathan Newman said: "The Town Centre Partnership is pleased to have supported the creation of The Hub as part of its Community Renewal Funded 'Onwards Norfolk' business up-skilling project and I am delighted that The Hub is now open for business and delivering advice to Great Yarmouth businesses."

Nova Fairbank, chief operating officer at Norfolk Chambers of Commerce, said: "The Great Yarmouth Enterprise Hub is a really exciting initiative.  We are delighted that Norfolk Chambers will have a regular weekly presence at the Hub for both one to one business conversations and some networking events. We are looking forward to connecting, supporting, and giving voice to a wide range of Great Yarmouth based businesses."

A spokesperson from Nwes, a business support agency, said: "Nwes are excited to be working within the Enterprise Hub our advisors will be there to help those looking to start a business take the right steps to start up and grow businesses."
