Privacy Notice: Food hygiene

Who we are: Great Yarmouth Borough Council (the Council), Town Hall, Hall Plain Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 2QF, 01493 856100, is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How we use your information: We will use your personal information for the purposes of the provision of the Council's Environmental Services. The lawful processing ground for this information is defined under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR i.e. the processing is necessary for the Council as part of our contract with you to provide training course(s) or visit your business premises and offer advice on setting up your premises or helping you to improve your food hygiene rating.

Data Sharing: The data you provide in this form will be shared within Great Yarmouth Borough Council and with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

Retention: Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will be stored securely by the Council. We will hold your information for 3 years from the date of application after which time it will be securely deleted.

Your rights:You have a number of rights available to you including the right of access, rectify, restrict, object or port your data.
