If you want to run a sex shop or adult cinema you will need a Sex Establishment Licence.

How do you decide whether to give a licence?

The application must be advertised for a period of 28 days. If no objections are received within this period, the licence will be granted. If objections are received the application may be referred to the Licensing Committee to determine.

How long does a licence last?

The licence will be granted for 12 months after which it will need to be renewed annually.

How much does a licence cost?

The cost of a new licence is £2,205.

What sex establishment licences are currently open for representation?

There are currently no applications open for representation.
