On Tuesday, young people between the ages of 16 and 25 had their say on the future use of the town's historical building, The Ice House. During the day's open space session, ideas and needs of our future generation were heard and documented. Students from East Coast College, Access Creative College and East Norfolk Sixth Form were in attendance.

After several weeks of judging shops, businesses, and market stalls in the centre of Great Yarmouth the Civic Society announced the winners at a ceremony in the Assembly Room of the Town Hall on Thursday 27 October.

London 2012 legacy funder, Spirit of 2012 has today announced the award of a quarter of a million pounds to Great Yarmouth Borough Council and East Suffolk Council for Cultural Connections to develop volunteering in the area, delivering plans set out in its UK City of Culture bid.
