Privacy Notice: Garden waste collection

Who we are: Great Yarmouth Borough Council (the Council), Town Hall, Hall Plain Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 2QF, 01493 856100, is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How we use your information: We will use your personal information for the purposes of the provision of the Council's Garden Waste Environmental Service. The lawful processing ground for this information is defined under Article 6(1)(b) of the UK GDPR i.e. i.e. the processing is necessary for the Council to perform a task in relation to the contract we have with you.

Data Sharing: The data you provide in this form will be shared within Great Yarmouth Borough Council and with GYB Services Ltd. Your information will not be shared with any other organisation unless there is lawful authority to do so.

Retention: Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will be stored securely by the Council and GYB Services Ltd. We will hold your information for the length of your Garden Waste collection subscription plus 1 year, after which time it will be securely deleted.

Your rights: You have a number of rights available to you including the right of access, rectify, restrict, object or port your data.
