Details revealed for Mayor of Great Yarmouth's annual Civic Ball

The Mayor of Great Yarmouth's annual Civic Ball will be taking place on Friday, May 10, and people are now being invited to buy tickets for the gala evening.

The annual ball provides an opportunity for the community to thank the mayor, Councillor Penny Carpenter, for all she has done for the borough during her year of service and also enjoy a fabulous evening of entertainment.

The ticketed event is all in the name of a good cause, with funds being raised on the night for the mayor's chosen charities for the year. This year, Councillor Carpenter selected Caister Lifeboat, the Caister First Scout Group, Redwings Horse Sanctuary and Marie Curie as her charities to support.

Tickets for the ball, which will take place in the Assembly Room at the Town Hall in Great Yarmouth, cost £40 and include a three-course meal (with a vegetarian option) provided by the award-winning Kings Arms in Fleggburgh.

Entertainment for the night, which also includes a disco, will be provided by popular local singer and performer Daniella Beck.

The dress code is lounge suits and evening dresses and a raffle will raise money for the mayor's chosen charities.

A cash bar on the evening will be operated by drinks specialists M & M Bars of Great Yarmouth.

To book tickets for the ball, or donate prizes for the charity raffle, please email mayor@great-yarmouth.gov.uk or telephone 01493 846151.
