Mayor to host Easter wreath-making evening at Great Yarmouth Town Hall

People are being invited to attend a unique Easter wreath-making charity event at the Assembly Room at Great Yarmouth Town Hall.

An Easter wreath-making charity evening is being held at Great Yarmouth Town Hall

The evening is being hosted by the Mayor of the Borough of Great Yarmouth, Councillor Paula Waters-Bunn, and guests will be able to create unique hand-made Easter wreaths.

The floral craft evening, which takes place from 7pm until 9pm on Thursday, April 10, will be led by Gorleston-based Flowers by Naomi and follows on from the highly successful Christmas wreath-making event hosted by the florist at the Town Hall.

A fully licensed bar, which opens at 6.30pm, will be available during the evening and there will also be a break for a free cup of tea and an Easter treat, as well as a prize draw.

Tickets cost £25 per person and the evening includes all materials and instruction to help guests create their Easter wreath. Funds will also be raised for the Mayor's chosen charities for her year of office - Great Yarmouth Stroke Group, Age Connected and Shrublands Football Club.

Wendy Takman, Great Yarmouth Borough Council's events co-ordinator, said: ''Our Christmas wreath-making was hugely successful and we know people really enjoyed creating something special and personal with expert guidance from Flowers By Naomi.

''Crafting is becoming increasingly popular with people who want to make something unique for their home or friends and family. We hope as many people as possible will be able to join us for our Easter wreath-making evening.''

If you would like to reserve a ticket for the evening please email mayor@great-yarmouth.gov.uk. Bookings need to be made by 5pm on Monday, March 17.
