As the start of Remembrance approaches, Great Yarmouth Borough Council invites residents to commemorate the fallen and support the armed forces community in person at several public events in the upcoming weeks.

An exciting programme of free access to a number of museums and galleries, as well as a series of activities and events, is available in Great Yarmouth during the October half term week starting this Saturday (October 23).

Residents across the Borough are being asked to help shape a five-year strategy to help make their coastal borough a more environmentally friendly place to live and visit.

Cash extorted from convicted loan sharks is being ploughed back into the Great Yarmouth community to help raise awareness of the issue.

Great Yarmouth's historic Venetian Waterways has once again scooped a coveted Green Flag award that recognises well-managed parks and green spaces around the world.

30,000 visitors are expected to visit the Venetian Waterways of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, where the brand new 15 night-time shows of Fire on the Water will light up the waterways and entertain visitors from 21 October to 6 November. *

The council is joining forces with Gorleston Traders Association to bring an addition to the winter programme this year, inviting residents and visitors to rock around the Christmas tree in Priory Gardens as it hosts its very own Christmas in the Parks event.
