26.Ill Health Retirement (IHR) (Local Government Pension Scheme members only)

1. 26.1.In order for this option to be considered the employee must have been medically certified as being 'permanently incapable of discharging effectively the duties of his or her current employer' and have a reduced likelihood of obtaining gainful employment before the age of 65.
