Privacy Notice: Cooling towers

Who we are: Great Yarmouth Borough Council (the Council), Town Hall, Hall Plain Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 2QF, 01493 856100, is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How we use your information: We will use your personal information for the purposes of the provision of the registration of Cooling Towers and/or Evaporative Condensers. The lawful processing ground for this information is defined under Article 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR i.e. the processing is necessary for the Council to perform a task in the public interest or for its official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law, namely The Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992.

Data Sharing: The data you provide in this form will be shared within Great Yarmouth Borough Council, it will not be shared with any other organisations unless required by law. However, we will always use or share information for the prevention or detection of crime or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders.

Retention: Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will be stored securely by the Council. We will hold your information until a new notification has been made in compliance with The Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992, once a new notification is received your information will be securely deleted.

Your rights:You have a number of rights available to you including the right of access, rectify, restrict, object or port your data.
