Foodies in Gorleston will soon be able to pick from at least two new mobile eateries.

Great Yarmouth Borough Council is inviting businesses to apply for two newly available mobile concession units at South Marine Parade car park, in Gorleston.

Businesses offering retail or takeaway hot food have up until 26 May to submit their applications.

The successful traders will be able to serve up their delights between 1 March and 30 September each year, but the Council has said it will also consider several shorter tenancies.

The new slots will sit alongside Barista Buoy, a fully restored Tuk Tuk ran by a local couple who served barista coffee sourced from a local Norwich-based roaster, and the long-serving ice cream van.

Cllr Daniel Candon, chairman of the Economic Development Committee, said: "This is a great opportunity for small, mobile businesses to serve visitors at an attractive and popular seaside location for the upcoming summer season.

"Whilst all types of retail and hot food takeaways will be considered, we're looking to offer a variety of traders for our residents and visitors to purchase from when visiting Gorleston seafront, therefore there will be no further ice cream or coffee sales, as these concessions are already occupied."
