Privacy notice: Rural England Prosperity Fund Business Support Grants

Who we are: Great Yarmouth Borough Council (the Council), Town Hall, Hall Plain Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 2QF, 01493 856100, is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How we use your information: We will use your personal information for the purposes of administering the Rural England Prosperity Fund Business Support Grants that are delivered under the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The lawful processing ground for your grant application is defined under Article 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR i.e. the processing of your personal data is necessary for the Council to perform a task in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Council.

If you decide to subscribe to our Business newsletter your information will be processed under Article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR, commonly known as consent. If at any time you wish to withdraw your consent and cease receiving our Business newsletter, please contact econdev@great-yarmouth.gov.uk.

Data Sharing: The data you provide as part of your application for a Rural England Prosperity Fund Business Support Grant will be shared:

  • within Great Yarmouth Borough Council
  • with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities
  • with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs
  • with HMRC
  • with UK Shared Prosperity Fund

Retention: Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will be stored securely on the Council access controlled computer system. We will retain your information on our system for 7 years from the date of your application after which time it will be securely deleted.

Your rights: You have a number or rights available to you, including the potential right to see copies of all the data held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to request the Council to restrict what it does with your data in certain circumstances, to object to what the Council may do with your data, and to data portability.

Please note that these rights are not absolute and there are circumstances where they do not apply or the Council may override these rights, however, if this is the case you will be informed of this.
